Torah MiTzion farewell event for Shachak family

The Shachak Family

Torah MiTzion Kollel will hold a farewell tribute event for the Shachak family as they end their two years of service in St. Louis as Israeli shlichim (emissaries). The event will feature a barbecue dinner, a tribute program and activities for children, and takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 6 at Bais Abraham Congregation, 6910 Delmar Boulevard.

As Torah MiTzion’s shlichim since 2011, Boaz and Yael Shachak and their children have worked to connect the community to Israel and Torah, serving a variety of roles: teaching children, teens and adults in synagogues, educational programs, day schools and summer camps, running Israel-centered events, as well as hosting guests for Shabbat and holiday meals.

RSVPs required by Wednesday, May 29 to [email protected] or to Alayne at at 314-721-3030. An $18 to $36 donation is suggested, to defray the cost of dinner and the tribute book (farewell tribute sponsors of $250 or more will be listed in the program and tribute book).
