Tonight: Vigil planned at Federation for Charleston victims

STAFF REPORT

The Jewish Federation of St. Louis and Jewish Community Relations Council have planned a vigil for the victims of last night’s shooting at a church in Charleston, S.C. The vigil takes place from 6 to 6:45 p.m. at the Jewish Federation building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive and will be led by Rabbi Susan Talve of Central Reform Congregation and other community rabbis.

In an email about the vigil, Jewish Federation and JCRC leaders wrote: “We join in the call for calm and the call for healing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and the entire Charleston community today, and we stand in solidarity with them against the forces of hatred and violence. May their memories be for a blessing.”
