TI group plans breast cancer awareness programs

Congregation Temple Israel’s new Women’s ConnecTIon group has planned two June events to promote breast cancer awareness. On Thursday, June 12, it will present “Think Pink,” an evening featuring a presentation by Gateway to Hope. The event is free and open to all women in the community. Participants are asked to bring a pink appetizer or dessert and a donation of yarn or knitted blankets to be donated to cancer patients. Weather permitting, the event will take place outdoors in the Nackman Garden of Temple Israel, 1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Drive in Creve Coeur.
On Saturday, June 14, a team of Women’s ConnecTIon members will participate in the 16th Annual Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure in downtown St. Louis. To make a donation in support of the team, visit komenstlouis.org, click on the donate button, and search for the Temple Israel team.
