For the third consecutive year, the Jewish Agency’s Partnership 2000 is joining Geographical Tours to offer Jewish women from communities across the globe an opportunity to join Israeli women in a seven-day jeep expedition to take place in Israel’s Negev in late October. The Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) is an international beneficiary of Jewish Federation of St. Louis.

The all-women adventure, known as Desert Queen, brings together participants from Israel and Jewish communities abroad. They will they drive 4×4 jeeps through challenging terrain, and build a team spirit through exploring Israel’s Negev by jeep, hiking on foot and sleeping under the stars.

What began in 2008 as a one-time event to celebrate Israel’s 60th anniversary, quickly turned into an annual event. Last year’s expedition was filled to capacity, with 60 participants. This year a similar number is anticipated.
