The release of the Barbie movie inspired Susie Frank to celebrate large.
“A month ago, my friend Diana suggested we get some girls together to go see Barbie,” said Frank. ” And anyone who knows me, knows I’m a ‘theme queen’ so we had to make it something special.”
After a date was picked a date, and a reservation for a row of seats at Des Peres Cinema was purchased, Susie got busy. She converted her home into a ‘Barbie Dreamhouse’ with all things pink and Barbie. The guests all wore Barbie-themed (read “pink”) clothing, and pink food from salmon to pink cinnamon rolls, Barbie cupcakes, pink Jello mold and pink lemonade were served.
“After all, Barbie is Jewish!” Susie reminded us.
