‘Swabs for Shira’ bone marrow testing Oct. 28
Published October 24, 2012
The community is invited to come to United Hebrew Congregation for ‘Smiles for Shira’ from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors can get their cheek swabbed to see if they are a bone marrow match for Shira or someone else in need of a bone marrow transplant. Those not able to attend can order a free kit to get in the mail (and then mail back a swab). Visit http://www.dkmsamericas.org/ for more information.
