Summer Reading Club at the Brodsky Library

The Brodsky Library’s 2010 Summer Reading Club will be in session from June 14 to Aug. 13. It is open to all children from pre-school to sixth grade.

The fun begins on Monday, June 14 at the Brodsky Library at 3:30 p.m. with a Reading Club Kickoff Party, where Library Director Barbara Raznick will tell stories. Party attendees will be eligible for a prize drawing, and will each make a craft. Treats will be served as well. The library is located in the Jewish Federation Kopolow Building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive.

To join, families need to come to the Brodsky Library anytime during the summer beginning on June 14 to register and receive their booklets and point charts for the Summer Reading Club. Once this is completed, kids earn points by reading, or by participating in the Library’s tzedakah project for the Jewish Food Pantry. These points may be used to redeem prizes, which include items donated by Ted Drewes, the St. Louis Zoo, the Magic House, the St. Louis Cardinals, Paint Me Pottery, Sweet Be’s, California Pizza Kitchen, SLU Billikens, Pratzels Bakery and many others.

The Brodsky Library Summer Reading Club is made possible by a generous grant from The Mildred, Herbert and Julian Simon Foundation.
