Members of the Jewish and other faiths will soon be joining together to celebrate the launch of a new faith-based environmental organization in Missouri. Missouri Interfaith Power & Light is the newest state chapter of the national organization whose mission is to organize the religious community to be faithful stewards of Creation by responding to global warming through the promotion of energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. The Missouri IPL kick off event will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at Grace Episcopal Church, 514 E. Argonne Drive in Kirkwood. Featured will be presentations by representatives of Nusach Hari B’nai Zion and Grace Episcopal Church about how each congregation “greened” its house of worship. RSVP to [email protected].
