Michael and Carol Staenberg and the Staenberg Family Foundation, are funding $50,000 for a one-to-one matching challenge grant to raise funds that will support programs, resources and services offered at Covenant Place’s new Mirowitz Center, opening later this summer in the newly dedicated Cahn Family Building. 

The 19,000 square-foot Mirowitz Center, which will be open to the community, aims to offer a central location where senior adults can access health services, including a Washington University Physician Geriatric Primary Care Practice, RPI Therapy Services, audiology and podiatry. The center will offer program spaces for lifelong learning classes, entertainment, health and wellness classes, games and socialization, as well as offices for the St. Louis NORC and other community service providers. Adjacent to the center is the new HJ’s Café offering freshly made non-kosher and Vaad-certified kosher options, open weekdays for breakfast, lunch and dinner and for Sunday brunch.

“We are pleased to support this new campus resource as part of the ongoing improvements to enhance the Jewish campus and fulfill I.E. Millstone’s vision for providing services and resources for people of all ages,” said Michael Staenberg. “We challenge others who care about enhancing the quality of life and dignity of our community’s older adults to join us by making a gift which we will match.”
