St. Louis Kollel holds Jewish Unity Live on June 9

St. Louis Kollel invites the entire community to join in celebrating the Torah “Pioneer Spirit” at its signature event, “Jewish Unity Live,” on Sunday, June 9 at the Third Degree Glass Factory in the Central West End.

Included in the program will be a feature film presentation, “The New Frontier,” produced by Eli Shapiro. Often humorous, always inspirational, the making of the film provided a unique opportunity for the rabbis of the Kollel to leave the comfort of the Beit Medrash to head out to the “wild, wild west.”

Refreshments include a Texas Grill appetizer carving station presented by Jon Rubin and a Western Winefest where revelers are invited to sample kosher wine.

In addition, special recognition will be given to some of the Kollel’s “Ace-High Awardees” at the event:  Dr. Eldad Bialecki, Andy Babitz, Dr. Gary Ratkin, David Rich, Emily Kanefield Silverman and Robert Kaiser.

This year’s event committee comprises Dr. Neil and Ellen Abramson, Dov and Orli Axelbaum, Marc and Vicki Chervitz, Dr. Keith and Janice Mankowitz, Todd and Sarah Rush, Les and Mimi Sabol.

Corporate Sponsors include The Delmar Gardens Family, Frankel, Rubin, Bond, Dubin, Siegel & Klein and Dr. Jonathan Shanker of “Embrace Our World” Orthodontics.

For Associate Rosh Kollel and Executive Director Rabbi Shlomo Soroka, the Jewish Unity Live event provides “an outstanding opportunity for us to come together as a community to celebrate our joint vision of uniting, strengthening and growing through the power of Torah learning.”
