St. Louis Jewish Women’s Choir seeks new members

Women of all ages and backgrounds who enjoy singing Jewish music are invited to join the St. Louis Jewish Women’s Choir. The choir rehearses weekly at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings, from September to May at a member’s home in University City.

No auditions or prior choir experience are required. All vocal ranges are welcome, however the choir is particularly in need of members who can sing soprano parts. Current participants come from all branches of Judaism, reflecting the rich diversity of the St. Louis Jewish community. The choir is directed by music educator Betti Blumoff.

The group generally performs several times a year. Past performances have included concerts at area retirement communities, such as Covenant House and the Crown Center, and appearances at community-wide events, such as the Yom Ha’Atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) Celebration at the Jewish Community Center and the Hanukkah celebration at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
