Film to screen at Brodsky
The short film Advice and Dissent will be shown at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at the Saul Brodsky Jewish Community Library. The screening will be followed by a discussion featuring Robert A. Cohn, editor-in-chief emeritus of the St. Louis Jewish Light. The film is a comedic morality tale about a husband who asks his rabbi to place a curse on his wife. Admission is free to members of the Friends of the Brodsky Library and $5 per person for all others. Reservations are required no later than July 11. Columnist to talk on book
On Tuesday, July 18 at 6 p.m. at Shaare Emeth Congregation, the Reform Singles Together will present a dinner followed by a discussion with Post Dispatch columnist Bill McClellan who will talk about his book, Evidence of Murder: The True Crime Account of New Orleans Real Estate Agent Ed Post at Shaare Emeth Congregation at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 18. Event set for July 20
The annual J Associates Brunch, Boutique and Bunches of Games will be on Thursday, July 20, at Meadowbrook Country Club. The day provides an opportunity to play games, shop or just have brunch. Proceeds help to provide meals for senior adults, care for infants and toddlers, recreation for individuals with disabilities, and other scholarships and programs at the Jewish Community Center.
