St. Louis Hillel announces Passover offerings
Published March 14, 2012
St. Louis Hillel is looking for families willing to open their homes and share a warm, home-away-from-home Passover experience with students. Through Hillel’s annual Passover Home Hospitality Program, community members can host one or more students for the first and/or second night seder on Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7. Registration for hosts and students is required by Wednesday, March 28.
Alternatively, community members are invited to attend St. Louis Hillel’s first night seder led by Hillel’s Silk Foundation Campus Rabbi Andy Kastner at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, April 6 in the Danforth University Center Orchid Room. The “In and Out of Egypt Quick” seder will feature a “greatest hits” Passover seder experience. The cost is $40/person ($35/student – cash or Washington University meal points). Registration is required by Wednesday, March 28.
In addition, Washington University Dining Services will now provide Kosher for Passover meals to students as part of its regular meal program. St. Louis Hillel worked closely with the university to make Passover meals more accessible for students. The St. Louis community is also invited to take advantage of these Passover lunches and dinners throughout the holiday. All meals will be prepared by Bon Appétit under the supervision of the Vaad Hoeir of St. Louis.
Boxed lunches will be offered Sunday, April 8 through Friday, April 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cost is $15 (meat option) and $14 (veggie option). Buffet dinners will be available on a first-come, first-served basis from April 8-12, from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children (8 and under).
