Local group St. Louis Votes is planning a “Jewish Community Tailgate to Vote Early” event at noon on Tuesday, July 30 at the St. Louis County Library’s Clark Family Branch Library, 1640 S Lindbergh Blvd. in Frontenac.
In 2022 Missouri legislators passed a law allowing no-excuse absentee voting for all registered voters. For the Aug. 6 election, no-excuse absentee voting began on July 23 and ends at 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5.
For St. Louis County residents, the Clark Family Branch Library is one of 14 absentee voting satellite locations.
“If you are already planning to vote, please join us and vote early. That way we can spend time contacting community members who are less likely to vote,” said St. Louis Votes CEO Benjamin Singer in a statement. “Both those who care about the Jewish community and those who wish us harm can have a disproportionate impact on who represents us. We can’t afford not to vote—and vote early.”
He added: “Join this fun, social, Jewish community event to vote early. Don’t kvetch—vote!”
