Published December 9, 2015
Jewish Federation of St. Louis will welcome Michal Yudin for the next event in the Sh’ma: Listen! Speaker Series, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16.
Yudin is the chairwoman of WePower, a non-profit, non-partisan Israeli organization that promotes women’s leadership, gender integration and equality at all levels of Israeli society. Yudin will discusswomen’s leadership in Israel and how the “glass ceiling” stops most women from making it into the top tiers in business, politics and the public arena in Israel. She will discuss how WePower works to provide Israeli women with tools to break through these professional barriers.
Prior to her work in WePower, Yudin was elected to head WIZO’s (Woman’s International Zionist Organization) Committee for the Advancement of Women in Politics. As a deep believer in equal opportunity and true democracy, she founded WePower in 2000 together with a group of friends.
