A social action day for preschoolers was held at Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School on Monday, Jan. 20. The event, “Small Hands. . . Big Difference,” is held each year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to teach kids the importance of giving back to the community, according to Abbi Marks-Mazur, director of enrollment.
“We have 19 stations and each one has a purpose behind it,” Marks-Mazur said. “We have a station where we’re bagging items for the unhoused, we have tzedakah boxes and we have arts and crafts. It’s all about loving yourself and then being able to spread the love on the outside.”
