Shaare Emeth selected for new URJ initiative
Published February 6, 2013
Congregation Shaare Emeth was one of 15 Reform congregations in North America selected to participate in a Union for Reform Judaism congregational networking group aiming to discover new ways for congregations make early childhood centers a gateway to deep, lifelong engagement for children and families.
The networking group will have access to the URJ experts and will work together formally for 18 months to push the boundaries of existing congregational efforts, experiment in their own communities, receive peer support and guidance.
Each community of practice will begin and end with an in-person meeting for congregational staff and lay leadership involved in the initiative, followed by monthly virtual gatherings and e-learning opportunities. Results will be shared with other congregations in the Reform Movement.
