Shaare Emeth plans winter/spring early childhood events
Published January 7, 2016
From January through April, Congregation Shaare Emeth and Shirlee Green Preschool have planned a monthly series of early childhood engagement programs, offering young families a fun, casual way to “be Jewish” with their toddlers and preschoolers.
The programs are created specifically for children 1 month to 5 years of age and their siblings. All events are free and open to the community—regardless of membership at Shaare Emeth or of enrollment at the preschool.
The winter/spring schedule is:
• Saturday, Jan. 9: Silly Snow: Discover amazingly fun ways to enjoy snow, from crafts to snacks, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
• Friday, Feb. 19: Tater Tot Shabbat with Special Guest Musician Peri Smilow: Enjoy a family friendly Shabbat service from 5 to 6 p.m., with a special guest appearance by Peri Smilow, a nationally recognized touring artist, composer, educator and activist. After the service, take part in a free Tater Tot Shabbat dinner (RSVP required — visit sestl.org/ece or call Kendra at 314-569-0048 by Friday, Feb. 12).
• Sunday, March 13: Soaking Up Spring: Have fun in the Outdoor Kitah, the preschool’s new outdoor classroom, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
• Sunday, April 24: Everyone for Earth: Celebrate the joys of our planet, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Shaare Emeth and Shirlee Green Preschool are located at 11645 Ladue Rd. in Creve Coeur. Enter on the south/preschool side of the building.
