Shaare Emeth gala to honor Steven and Susan Lipstein

 Steven and Susan Lipstein

Congregation Shaare Emeth will honor Steven and Susan Lipstein at its annual Heart & Soul Gala on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Chase Park Plaza’s Starlight Room, 232 N. Kingshighway Boulevard. “The Future’s So Bright” is the theme for the event, which supports the congregation’s mission of education, spiritual practice, social justice and outreach.

Steven and Susan Lipstein will be presented with the second annual Harris Frank Community Service Award, which was established to recognize congregants that serve the temple, St. Louis Jewish community and the greater St. Louis community with innovative ideas and leadership.

Steven Lipstein is President and CEO of BJC HealthCare.  His wife, Susan, is a parent educator with Parents as Teachers in the Clayton School District. Their volunteer efforts have focused on helping children and their families gain ongoing access to quality education and health care.

“They are exemplars of caring, compassion and generosity,” said Shaare Emeth’s Senior Rabbi Jim Bennett. “We are grateful for their commitment to making this world a better place through their service to our congregation, our community and the St. Louis region.”

The gala event features entertainment, a cocktail reception and a sit-down dinner along with an award presentation by Rabbis Jim Bennett and Andrea Goldstein.

Tickets are $200 per person and RSVPs required by Nov. 5. To RSVP or for sponsorship opportunities, contact Rosalie Stein at [email protected] or 314- 569-0010.  For more information, visit www.shaare-emeth.org.
