Prospective families can get a taste of the Saul Mirowitz Day School – Reform Jewish Academy during the school’s Open House at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7. Parents will be able to attend mini-lessons in the classrooms. While parents are busy checking out about the school’s new Singapore Math curriculum, science partnership with Washington University and integration of SmartBoard technology, their children will be paired with a fifth grader or alumnus who will be their buddy for the hour of enrichment activities.

The program will conclude with School House Rock – an interactive musical journey with Jewish musician and SMDS-RJA parent Rick Recht. The concert will begin at 4 p.m. Along with his powerful music, Recht will share his perspective as a parent at the school. “I feel the impact of this school every day in the car, before bed or just taking a walk with my son, Kobi,” he said. “The school has given our whole family the language to talk about the big questions in life.”
