Registration open for Hebrew language School at Bais Abraham
Published January 4, 2012
Registration is now open for the Spring Semester of Bais Abraham Congregation’s “Shelanu” Sunday morning Hebrew Language School. The school is for children in kindergarten through 5th grade who speak Hebrew with their families at home. Using Israeli textbooks, the school teaches modern Hebrew reading with comprehension, and writing with accuracy and meaning. The class also includes lively programs to strengthen the children’s connection to Jewish tradition and Israel.
Students are taught entirely in Hebrew by Israeli teachers Assi and Gilat Gastfraind, who have been in St. Louis since 2009 under the auspices of the Torah MiTzion program.
Classes will be held Sunday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon beginning Jan. 8 and continuing through April 1 at Bais Abraham Congregation, 6910 Delmar Boulevard in University City. Tuition is $240 for the 12-week semester (free to Bais Abraham members).
