Rabbi Mark Shook to lead three-part education series on Middle East

“Untangling the Forces of Revolution in the Middle East” will be the subject of a three-part education series presented by Congregation Temple Israel’s Rabbi Emeritus Mark L. Shook. All three classes will meet on Monday evenings in June and are free and open to the community.
The first session, “Echoes of Empire,” will take place Monday, June 6, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Temple Israel, 1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Dr. in Creve Coeur. The second class, “Political Discourse in the Koran,” will be offered on Monday, June 20, from 7-9 p.m. at the Daar Ul Islam Mosque, 517 Weidman Rd. in Ballwin, in conjunction with the Confluence of Faith dialogue group. The final session, “Exploring the Israeli Paradox,” will meet at Temple Israel on Monday, June 27, from 7-8:30 p.m.
