A full house gathered at The Focal Point listening room in Maplewood on Sunday afternoon, June 11, to hear a Klezmer concert provided by the new U. City Klezmer Experience.
The band was led by Will Soll, with Andy Curry on bass, Gabe Segal on clarinet, Alyssa Avery on fiddle, and Shlomo Ovadya on percussion. Klezmer is a high-energy genre of music that developed in Central and Eastern Europe by Ashkenazi Jews.
