More than 2,000 runners and walkers — and several dozen dogs– participated in the Olivette Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 28. The event, now in its 11th year, follows a 5K course that begins and ends at Stacy Park.
The Turkey Trot entrance fees double as contributions to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry. The 2024 event raised $25,000 for the food pantry. During its first 10 years, the Turkey Trot raised $119,000 for the food pantry. Those funds help the organization provide food and personal care products to 6,000 children, adults and seniors every month.
