Nusach Hari B’nai Zion will honor Joann Raskas and Ron Rosen during an hors d’oeuvres reception Sunday, Dec. 12 at NHBZ, 8630 Olive Boulevard. The congregation will also recognize Alex and Jack Lyss with the new Youth Service Award.

Raskas and Rosen donated the first pizza oven that enabled NHBZ to hold its monthly Lion’s Den Pizza Night – which offers the community a monthly “night out” for kosher pizza.

A NHBZ news release noted “their life-long dedication to Judaism through their devotion and heartfelt support of Israel and Jewish causes.” “This outstanding good deed launched the project that has surpassed our expectations, and continues to provide a venue for kosher meals and family fun.”
