The New Jewish Theatre took home five awards during the inaugural St. Louis Theatre Circle Awards on March 18. Area theater critics selected the honorees from professional theater productions in St. Louis during 2012. The NJT’s five awards was second only to the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. The awards were:

• Best Ensemble for Comedy — “Jacob and Jack”

• Best Actress in  Comedy — Meghan Maguire in “Talley’s Folly”

• Best Lighting Design (tie) — Michael Sullivan for “Way to Heaven” 

• Best Lighting Design (tie) — Nathan Schroeder for “Talley’s Folly”

• Best Sound Design — Robin Weatherall for “Way to Heaven”
