Nishmah offers ‘From Torah to Table’ with culinary artist Aura Kavadlo

Nishmah’s fourth program of its “Healthy Lifestyles” series will take place from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at Congregation Shaare Emeth. Culinary artist Aura Kavadlo will facilitate a hands-on cooking experience, exploring the Seven Species of fruits and grains mentioned in the Torah, as the original Farm to Table Movement. Find out what the Israelites ate and see how it compares with current calls for simplified eating. Participants will use healthful ingredients to make an exciting yet simple and delicious meal.

From Torah to Table is the fourth program of a yearlong “Healthy Lifestyles “series offered by Nishmah to focus on women’s health and wellness. The final program, “This Emotional Life, Part 2: Rethinking Happiness,” will take place on Tuesday, April 15 at noon at the Kopolow Jewish Federation building.

Cost to attend the February 15th program is $36 (includes dinner and recipes). Contact Ronit Sherwin at Nishmah at 314-862-2777 to register.
