Nusach Hari B’nai Zion welcomes boys and girls ages 11-13 to prepare for their bar/bat mitzvahs with their friends while learning from qualified Jewish educators. 

NHBZ will begin the Bar & Bat Mitzvah Journey, a 27-week interactive program that begins from 4-5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7. Students will explore Judaism and grow Jewishly with sessions on Shabbat, Jewish holidays, Jewish life cycle, community leadership, Jewish identity and contemporary issues, highlights of Jewish history, Jewish heroes and heroines and other topics. 

No prior formal Jewish studies required and this journey is open to all regardless of level of observance. NHBZ membership not required. All participants will be eligible to celebrate their bar/bat mitzvahs at NHBZ. Sign up online by Sept. 21 at www.nhbz.org or call 314-991-2100, ext. 2.
