NHBZ hosts Rabbi Hillel Van Leeuwen as scholar-in-residence

Enjoy an enlightening day of growth and learning as Nusach Hari B’nai Zion welcomes Rabbi Hillel Van Leeuwen as the scholar-in-residence on Saturday, July 27. Hillel is the director of leadership development at the Mizrachi World Movement in Jerusalem. A former Israel Defense Forces paratrooper, Hillel is passionate about Zionism, Torah and education. He will lead the following discussions throughout the day:

• “What an IDF Medic in Lebanon Taught Me About Tish B’Av” presented during lunch

• “An Israeli Perspective on the Three Weeks” presented at 6:45 p.m., before Mincha

• For women only, presented by Rebbitzen Odeya Van Leeuwen: “A Resource Called Intimacy — a Workshop with Cards” presented at 6:45 p.m., before Mincha

• “Witnessing Redemption: Some Humbling Thoughts” presented at the third meal after Mincha
