New Mt. Sinai Cemetery to hold annual memorial service

Hundreds will gather at New Mt. Sinai Cemetery for the cemetery’s annual memorial service during the High Holy Days. The service this year will be at noon Sunday, Oct. 2 in the Community Mausoleum.
Cantor Seth Warner of Congregation Shaare Emeth will conduct the service, with Daniel Brodsky of B’nai El and Linda Blumenthal providing the chanted liturgy. The service will also feature violin music played by Silvian Iticovici of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
The program will include the names of `those who have been interred at New Mt. Sinai since last Yom Kippur. The service will conclude with the sounding of the shofar by the Loewenstein family. Admission to the service is free, and the service is open to the entire St. Louis community.
