New ‘Adventure Torah Study’ series combines hike, yoga, Jewish values

Yoga teacher Maxine Mirowitz will lead an “Adventure Torah Study” series one Sunday each month through June. Each lesson April 20, May 18 and June 22 will include a hike to a scenic point where students will discuss Jewish values followed by standing yoga and breathing sessions.

“These classes seek to cultivate an awareness of nature and a sharpened sense of the participant’s Jewish identity,”  Mirowitz says.

To enroll, visit Torahtrailblazers.com. The calendar section shows dates and locations. Online registration is required and must include the submission of a signed consent form. Each class is limited to 25 students age 18 and older.  (A family hike will be scheduled in the fall located on a kid-friendly trail.) In case a participant must cancel their reservation, email [email protected].
