NCSY, CAJE and Brodsky Library welcome IDF Reserve sergeant
Published April 6, 2011
NCSY is welcoming Sgt. Benjamin Anthony (IDF Res) for a discussion of “Hope in the Midst of War” at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 11 in the Saul Brodsky Jewish Community Library, 12 Millstone Campus Drive.
Sgt. Anthony, of Our Soldiers Speak, will speak with students and groups across the St. Louis community.
Our Soldiers Speak is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization that convenes seminars and information sessions pertaining to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Since its founding in 2006, the organization has brought fact-based insight into some of Israel’s most recent conflicts and military campaigns.
NSCY, CAJE and the Brodsky Library are sponsoring the lecture. As a veteran combat soldier, Sgt. Benjamin and the soldiers with whom he has served have seen the tragic cost of war and the price it exacts. Despite those horrors and the adversity faced, Anthony will discuss why soldiers or the supporters of Israel should not despair.
A light reception will follow the program. There is no cost for the program but RSVPs are required.
For additional information or to RSVP please contact the Brodsky Library at 314-442-3720, or CAJE’s Cyndee Levy at 314-442-3754.
