NCJW welcomes columnist for annual Spring Luncheon
Published April 13, 2017
National Council of Jewish Women St. Louis will hold its annual Spring Luncheon on Thursday, April 27 at Westwood Country Club. There will be a VIP Reception at 11 a.m. and luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Enjoy an afternoon with Tablet magazine columnist Marjorie Ingall as she discusses her new book, “Mameleh Knows Best.” The book is an erudite yet amusing cruise through Jewish history, showing that Jewish parenting methods are responsible for the outsized success of the Jewish people. Ingall blends historical texts, scientific research, humor and personal anecdotes to create a nuanced portrait of the Jewish mother that smashes tired old sexist stereotypes.
The luncheon ticket is $60 per person. VIP tickets, which include the VIP Reception, lunch and a signed copy of “Mamaleh Knows Best” are available for $125. Guests may also pre-order a copy of the book for $18.99. Raffle tickets are being sold for $36 per ticket to win dinner with Ingall the evening before the luncheon. All funds raised from the Spring Luncheon support NCJW’s projects and programs.
The Spring Luncheon is co-chaired by Lisa Gubernik, Hillary Hinz and Westwood member Marissa Rosen. To RSVP for the luncheon and see additional sponsorship opportunities go to ncjwstl.org or call 314-993-5181.
