NCJW seeks nominations for Hannah G. Solomon Award

National Council of Jewish Women-St. Louis Section is seeking nominations for the Hannah G. Solomon Founder’s Award, NCJW’s highest honor.

Nominations are open for the National Council of Jewish Women-St. Louis Section’s highest honor, the Hannah G. Solomon Founder’s Award. Recipients have included a wide variety of people: government officials, NCJW members and non-members, educators and community leaders, both men and women.

The 2011 St. Louis Section Hannah G. Solomon Founder’s Award will be presented at the annual membership luncheon this fall.

The recipient must fulfill one or more of the following award criteria:

• Exemplify the NCJW mission of improving the quality of life for women, children and families.

• Expand and promote the status of women in vital areas of community life.

• Work to ensure and advance individual and civil rights.

Provide leadership that has motivated others to fight for progress and enlightenment in our community.

The recipient does not have to be an NCJW member, Jewish or female. Include the following information with the submission: name, address, and phone number of the nominee; an explanation of why you are nominating the candidate; and your name and phone number.
