NCJW plans Couturier kickoff cocktail party

National Council of Jewish Women St. Louis’ The Resale Shop kicks off its 53^rd year of Couturier with a 1950s-themed “I Love Couturier” cocktail party from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3at the home of Stephanie and Geoffrey Gross. 

Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in a beautifully restored mid-century modern home artfully designed for Morton D. May. Tickets range from $36-$122 and can be purchased at theresaleshop.org.

NCJW STL’s Couturier Sale will take place later in October, starting with a Preview Night on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a $10 donation at the door at 295 N. Lindbergh Blvd. There is a VIP Preview from 1 to 4 p.m. where guests can get the first opportunity to shop all of the designer items. All VIP tickets must be purchased in advance and include makeovers provided by a Saks beauty advisor (first-come, first-served basis) and a chance to win one of three $250 Saks Fifth Avenue gift cards. There are two types of VIP Tickets:

• Stylist VIP Preview for $75: Only 18 tickets are available for a 30-minute appointment with a Saks Fifth Avenue stylist between 1 and 3:30 p.m. and will be filled on a first come first served basis. A Resale Shop staff member will contact you to schedule an appointment time after your VIP ticket has been purchased.

• VIP Preview for $50: Includes all of the VIP perks, except for the Saks Fifth Avenue stylist.

Couturier opens to the public on Friday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

On Monday, Oct. 30and Tuesday, Oct. 31, there is a 25 percent off storewide end of event promotion.

The annual Couturier Event is the largest fundraiser for The Resale Shop. All of The Resale Shop’s proceeds help support the many programs and projects of NCJW STL.
