The Millstone Institute for Jewish Leadership will host two talks for Jewish community volunteers, board leaders and staff by Rob Goldberg, Vice President of Campus Development for Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life.
Goldberg will speak on Monday, March 5 at the Jewish Community Center Staenberg Family Complex, 2 Millstone Campus Drive. From 8 to 9:15 a.m. he will lead a discussion on “Building Communities Within Community,” including the importance of feeling connected to multiple groups and organizations. From 10 to 11:15 a.m. a second program will explore, “Creating Sacred Spaces to Motivate and Manage.” Participants will discuss how to motivate staff and volunteers by appreciating the unique qualities of each individual.
Both programs are for volunteers, board leaders, and staff who work in the Jewish community.
Goldberg works with local Hillels throughout North America in the areas of fund development and governance. He is also the lead staff for Hillel’s new global strategic plan and Hillel’s International Board of Directors. He served as Executive Director of the Hillel at Washington University from 1995 to 2000. During this time, he was actively involved in the community as a Melton instructor and was frequently called upon to speak on topics related to leadership development and community building.
