Mussar Institute classes to be offered through CAJE

Mussar, a millennium-old Jewish tradition of personal spiritual development based in Torah, offers teachings as applicable to our lives today as they have been to generations gone by. Central Agency for Jewish Education will offer A Season of Mussar I and A Season of Mussar II, two 13-week programs that will guide groups in a supervised course of Mussar learning and practice. Course materials are drawn from the Jewish tradition and have been developed for the modern learner by Alan Morinis and made available through a partnership with the Mussar Institute (all facilitators are certified through its Manchim program).

A Season of Mussar I will be offered from 7 – 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings beginning Oct. 24 and from 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Thursday mornings beginning October 25.  A Season of Mussar II will be offered 7 – 8:30 p.m. on Monday nights beginning Oct. 22.  The tuition for all classes is $150; scholarships available. All classes are located at CAJE, inside the Jewish Federation Kopolow Building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive in Creve Coeur.
