Modi, who has been called the “The Next Jackie Mason” by The New York Times, is bringing his comedy show to St. Louis.
Tickets for his first-ever American Tour, “Know Your Audience” are on sale. Modi is scheduled to take the stage at the Sheldon Theater on March 13.
Modi has been featured on HBO, CBS, NBC, ABC, Comedy Central, Howard Stern, and E! Entertainment and has received rave reviews from the New York Times, Time Out New York, and The New York Post.
Born in Israel, he and his family immigrated to the United States at the age of seven and was raised on Long Island. After graduating from Boston University, he worked as an investment banker until his first open-mic night where he knew stand-up was his true calling.
Equipped with a sharp wit and incredible ability to engage with his audience, Modi has become a fixture in New York’s comedy scene as well as headlining venues around the country and across the globe.
Moshiach Energy
“I see my shows as community events that allow the Jewish community and our allies to unite, even if just to take a brief break from the endless scrolling of news,” said Modi, who has coined the term “Moshiach Energy.”
“Moshiach Energy is an energy I feel every time I do a show and see people from all different backgrounds and walks of life united in laughter,” Modi said. “That is an hour of Moshiach Energy. The goal is to bring that energy 24/7 through acts of kindness, providing laughter, or even just bringing a smile everywhere you go.”
Considering the horrific situation in the Middle East, Modi will be donating a portion of the proceeds from his tour to several organizations working to help Israel during this time of war.
