On Tuesday, Jan. 8 from 7 – 8:30 p.m., Rabbi Ryan Dulkin will continue the Might of Midrash Series with the beginning discussion of Leviticus. Previous classes are not required as participants examine different Midrashim at each class. There is no charge for Shaare Zedek members and guests.

On Saturday, Jan. 12, following Shabbat morning services, congregants and guests are invited to a Lunch and Learn “Sneak Preview” of Rabbi Mark Fasman’s series, “Blue and White and Green.” The three-part series, which will be held on the following Tuesdays, Jan. 15, 22, and 29 at 7 p.m., focuses on Judaism and contemporary “green” issues.

Looking ahead toward Tu b’Shevat, Rabbi Fasman will examine, explain, and explore the “greening” of the desert, and whether Judaism and nature are at odds or in concert.
