Mensch Of The Week | Beth, the angel in the outfield

JORDAN PALMER

There are few higher Jewish compliments to pay someone than to call them a mensch, though, of course, a true mensch would be too modest to want to be complimented.

A mensch is a person who can be relied on to act with honor and integrity. But the Yiddish term means more than that: it also suggests someone who is kind and considerate.

In a Facebook post made by Abby Reiss on June 29th, we got to see a true mensch in action. The post has been shared multiple times around social media, and so far our attempts to track down Beth have not been successful. Nonetheless, it’s a great story.  Enjoy!
