Nancy Schmidt: As attorney in charge of the Gateway Older Adult Legal Services project, a program sponsored by the local chapter of the American Jewish Congress, Schmidt works with dozens of low income elderly, providing free legal services regardless of race or religion.

Samantha Lurie: In her work with Teach for America and beyond, Lurie has embodied tikkun olam. She teaches special needs students at Roosevelt and Vashon high schools, and makes an impact  as a volunteer writing coach for College Summit and working with Cultural Leadership.
