The Jewish Light, in conjunction with  the Harvey Kornblum Foundation, is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to support the paper’s new Young Publisher initiative for those age 45 and under. Those wishing to participate can become part of our Publisher’s Society for $180 (a significant discount from the standard  rate of $500) and the Foundation will match each Young Publisher gift up to $180 through April 2016.

The Publisher’s Society is a group of the Light’s most committed supporters. The group helps the Light put on key events and publish special sections each year, most notably on Jewish arts and our monthly Teen Page, Ohr Chadash.

In turn, the Light holds special events to thank our Publishers each year. Each November we hold an exclusive and intimate thank you recognition event with an exceptional guest speaker. Past speakers have included  children’s author Judith Viorst; NBC correspondent Martin Fletcher; ABC’s Lynn Sherr; and Senator John Danforth.

In addition, the Society was one of the very first groups to hear from Frances Levine, President of the Missouri History Museum, upon her arrival to St. Louis. In 2015, Publishers had a fabulous evening at Olio and Elaia restaurants and met noted Israeli chef and owner Ben Poremba, who shared the background of his voyage to St. Louis and the creation of his exceptional style.

To become a Young Publisher, contact Larry Levin at the Jewish Light for more information.  Larry can be reached at 314-743-3672 and [email protected].
