Matching grant to double JF&CS donations during December

Jewish Family & Children’s Service received an anonymous $25,000 donation to match contributions to the agency during December.

JF&CS runs elder care, counseling, child abuse prevention, homemaker services, chaplaincy and financial assistance programs, as well as the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry, St. Louis County’s largest food bank.

According to the United States Census Bureau, nearly 30 percent of St. Louisans are living below the poverty line. JF&CS notes that the winter months are often the most challenging for social service agencies, which face higher levels of assistance requests for food, clothing and shelter.

Donations to JF&CS during December will be matched dollar for dollar. To donate, email [email protected], call 314-513-1674 or visit
