March 30 deadline for letters of intent in festival’s short film competition
Published March 6, 2013
The St. Louis Jewish Film Festival is beginning the third year for its Short Film Competition and is soliciting new and established filmmakers who want to participate. Students beginning with 6-8th graders through college age and beyond are welcome including a professional category.
Filmmakers will submit a short film, no more than five minutes in length, on the theme of “peace.” This can be peace in school, perhaps an anti-bullying message, peace within our community, your own home and in the world as a whole. Filmmakers do not need to be Jewish to enter their films. Finished films need to be submitted by April 26 in order to be judged and prizes awarded in time for the June, 2013 St. Louis Jewish Film Festival where the winning films will be showcased.
The deadline for letters of intent is March 30 with an entry fee of $10. Visit www.stljewishfilmfestival.org to access letter of intent and rules and instructions.
