After 31 years, The Source Unlimited is closing its doors.
Located at 11044 Olive Boulevard in Creve Coeur, the store is St. Louis’ sole Judaica shop that is not located within a congregation or Jewish institution.
The store is holding a closing sale starting today, with reduced prices on all merchandise. As part of the sale, the store will award prizes to selected contestants who register in person at the store during normal business hours.
Manager Rabbi Avi Rubenfeld will continue to serve the Jewish community as director of Chabad of Chesterfield. “I will now be able to devote 100 percent of my energy to increase our classes, events and services,” he said in a news release.
The Source Unlimited was founded in 1982 and Rabbi Rubenfeld has managed the store for the last nine years on behalf of Chabad of Greater St. Louis. The news release noted the current retail economy no longer allowed the the store to remain self-sufficient.
Normal store hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The store is closed on Saturday. The sale is only scheduled for the next few weeks until all merchandise, store fixtures, furniture and equipment is liquidated.
