‘Light’ readers: Don’t lose the connection

Don’t Lose the Connection

Do you ever feel like you’re losing it?

Well, that’s how those who haven’t yet subscribed to the St. Louis Jewish Light will feel by the end of July when their newspapers and OY! Magazine no longer appear in their mailboxes. But rest assured, you can still help yourself:

Don’t Lose the Connection!

The first phase of the Light’s switch to a subscription model netted virtually thousands wanting to continue to receive home delivery of the award-winning Jewish Light and its wide-ranging content, including:

• Up-to-date coverage on the community buzz with Editor Ellen Futterman’s News and Schmooze and Lois Caplan’s Kibbitzing with Caplan columns

• Jewish community lifecycle events – births, weddings and engagements, bar and bat mitzvahs, and obituaries

• Interesting and timely stories about Jewish arts and culture, and fun features like our Jewish Lite page with crosswords (ONLY available in the paper!) and cartoons

• Comprehensive news and opinions about all the major issues of the day in Israel and our local, national and international Jewish communities, including our brand-new Can We Talk? series, blending news analysis of important topics with a quarterly discussion and speaker series

• Our quarterly OY! Magazine (ONLY available to subscribers), with community-wide features such as our Unsung Heroes recognition and the listings in our annual Guide to Jewish Life

Here’s what’s amazing: Whether you’re a senior, a student, a Jewish Federation donor or any other member of the community, you get 52 weekly issues of the Light and four quarterly editions of OY! Magazine for no more than a couple weeks’ worth of specialty drinks at your local coffeehouse!

And never fear: We don’t want to lose our valued readers no matter their ability to pay. So we created our Spread the Light fund, and are asking the community to help us be able to afford sending the Light to ANY household that wants it, regardless of means. The fund will enable us to confidentially provide assistance for subscriptions to those in need.

So sign up now, by using the form on page 25, going online at www.stljewishlight.com or calling us at 314-743-3600. We want to keep you up to date on all things Jewish in our community. Act now and subscribe!
