Lauren Brenner elected as new Chair of ADL Heartland

The ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) Heartland regional office announced the election of Lauren Brenner as Chair of the ADL Heartland Regional Advisory Board.

“We are extremely fortunate to have a leader of Lauren’s vision and intellect stepping into our top volunteer leadership role,” said Jordan Kadosh, ADL Heartland Regional Director. “Lauren is deeply committed to the mission and work of ADL and will advance our efforts to fight hate in our community.”

A native of St. Louis, Lauren Brenner received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri. Brenner is licensed to practice law in Missouri and currently serves as General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Mid-America Transplant, an organization working to reduce the need for organ and tissue transplantation, increase the availability of organs and tissues, and improve the lives of recipients and donor families. Mid-America Transplant is located in St. Louis and works with healthcare partners and donor families throughout eastern and southern Missouri, southern Illinois, and northeast Arkansas.

“I am excited to have been selected as ADL Heartland’s Board Chair at this pivotal moment and am deeply concerned about the growing threat of hate and extremism in our region,” Brenner said. “I look forward to working with Jordan and the ADL Heartland board to support this organization’s vital work in fighting hate for good.”

Brenner formally assumed the position in March of 2023, replacing outgoing chair Jennifer Schwesig.
