Kol Rinah to host ‘Witnessing Whiteness’ dialogue group
Published March 16, 2016
Kol Rinah will host “Witnessing Whiteness,” a dialogue group designed to help those who identify as white to understand racism, white privilege and white supremacy. The group will aim to provide “a brave Jewish space where white individuals can examine the impact of racism in America and challenge the racism we witness in our everyday lives,” according to a news release.
The Kol Rinah discussion circle will meet on alternating Tuesday evenings at the synagogue from 7 to 8:30 p.m., starting April 5. The community is invited to join members of Kol Rinah, but space is limited. The group is free but participants will need to purchase the latest edition of “Witnessing Whiteness,” available online or through one of the group’s facilitators. To register for the discussion group or for more information, contact Tasha at [email protected]tl.org or 314-727-1747.
Kol Rinah is located at 829 North Hanley Road in University City.
