Kol Rinah has hired Elyse Picker and Elizabeth (Liz) Collins as co-directors of the congregation’s Early Childhood Center. Picker and Collins started in their new post in August, taking the reins from former director Marty Schaeffer, who retired after 27 years at the center.   Picker, an ECC parent, most recently worked as a parent educator with Jewish Parents as Teachers, and for the Fort Zumwalt School District as a deaf education specialist. Collins has been a classroom teacher in the H.F. Epstein Hebrew Academy’s preschool for the last 14 years. As co-directors, Collins will primarily be responsible for staff and curriculum development and Picker will focus on administration.
