Congregation B’nai Amoona has announced the appointment of Kevin Litt as its new executive director. He will officially step into the role on Aug. 4.
Litt brings more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience to the position. He most recently served as vice president of development for UCP Heartland, a regional nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities.
The congregation’s Search Committee, led by past president Jeff Singer, conducted a nationwide search for the role. “We received a wide range of impressive applications from across the country,” said Singer. “But Kevin stood out. His deep commitment to nurturing and growing the B’nai Amoona community was clear from the beginning. This is a truly special place, and Kevin brings the passion, presence, and skill to keep its spirit vibrant and its members deeply connected.”

Congregation President Gail Feldstein echoed that enthusiasm. “Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, but also a true understanding of our congregation’s heart and mission,” she said. “He reflects the warm, welcoming atmosphere we always strive to create—for both our members and the broader community.”
Litt is no stranger to B’nai Amoona. A graduate of the 2022 Millstone Fellows program, he is a past president of the B’nai Amoona Men’s Club and previously served on the congregation’s executive committee.
He and his wife, Shannon—a marketing executive with Assured Partners—are proud members of the St. Louis Jewish community. Their family includes son Ari, a high school senior; stepdaughter Rory, a high school junior; and stepson Phoenix, a senior at the University of Florida majoring in computer science.
